Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

Believe it or not, this is the first fanfiction I've *written* in my life! Sure I've daydreamed myself into a Mary Sue within every fantasy world I've loved since I was a kid, but this is the first one I've written down so that others can read it! 

I'm very inspired by the fanfiction culture of early Star Trek, when TOS was still aimed squarely at housewives. This fanfiction culture gave us so many tropes and concepts that perservere into modern day fandom. Was Spirk the Destiel of its time? Who knows! I'm too tired to make a good point about that other than that I love Destiel memes even though its not a ship I'm too into. 

This was developed over 48 hours, and oof was it hard to get done in that much time. There will likely be updates coming post GGJ to give the narrative more than half an edit, give it coloured text, and make the image as polished as I wanted it to be. It was a bit touch-and-go getting them to look like themselves in the image, but we made it happen! 

Thanks for checking it out, I know its a bit crazy to write my first fanfiction that way but i guess im just built different.
